U13 AA Panthers Support the Kleinburg Food Drive
On November 12th, our U13 AA team participated in the 15th Annual Kleinburg Food Drive. Sporting their red jerseys, our Panthers went door-to-door to collect donations for The Vaughan Food Bank.

We are proud of our young Panthers for participating in this community event for the second year in a row!

information on the Kleinburg Food Drive

The Kleinburg Food Drive started in 2007, as an initiative of KARA (Kleinburg And Area Ratepayer’s Association), in order to give back to the community by supporting the local food bank. The event is currently led by a volunteer committee of local residents and is supported by business sponsors that purchase the iconic green donation bags, in addition to over 100 volunteers who prep donation bags, deliver them door-to-door, then collect and load donations onto the Vaughan Food Bank’s delivery truck. This year’s event filled 3 trucks with over 3000 lbs of food and personal items for families in need, along with over $3000 in monetary donations.

The Vaughan Food Bank provides the equivalent of over 1 million meals to families that are in need, and another 1 million meals, through partnerships with local community organizations. It is led by their executive director, Peter Wixon.
